It’s been over a year and a half since my mother died. I’ve definitely moved on to a different stage of grief than I was during the first few months after her death – but as two friends mine have just lost loved ones, and another friend at lunch asked me at point blank range, “Do you believe in an afterlife?” I think the topic is still very much on the table. First of all, there are a LOT of different viewpoints out there in Christendom about what the afterlife holds.
