I recently listened to a sermon that speculated that the Muslim Mahdi will be the Antichrist. This informative post challenges that.
There is a book written by Joel Richardson called “The Islamic Antichrist.” I have not read this book (nor do I intend to), but have read reviews. It seems that the author wants his readers to believe that expected Imam Mahdi (the Guided One) is the Anti-Christ prophesized in the Holy Bible. Nothing is far from the truth.
But, before I disprove Mr. Richardson’s claim, let me tell you that Imam Mahdi and Dajjal (anti-Christ, the False Messiah) are not mentioned in the Holy Qur’an at all. Surprised? Well, it is a fact that no one can dispute. All the Islamic sources that talk about Dajjal (the Antichrist) and Imam Mahdi come from the collection of Hadiths (written traditions).
